IMAP and SMTP Connectivity Issues

Connecting your email through IMAP and SMTP can cause issues because this method of connection is cryptic and often a low level issue for many email service provider.

An incorrect Password is the most common issue while connecting vie IMAP and SMTP. Please be 100% sure you are using the correct password.

If you are experiencing issues with your IMAP or SMTP connection, here are the most likely causes:



Your Email Service Provider has an unstable server. Contact them and ask why your server keeps returning an error and keeps disconnecting.
Ask if they support IMAP and SMTP connections from 3rd party applications. Some do not.



Solutions to IMAP and SMTP connectivity Problems:



The Email Service Providers should be able to fix any errors o their end.
The last resort is migrating your team's email provider to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
