How to Connect a GoDaddy or Zoho Email

Learn how to connect and troubleshoot an email from GoDaddy or Zoho to LeadLoft.

All GoDaddy and Zoho emails have to use IMAP / SMTP.

If you want to use Microsoft or Google connectivity, you'll need to upgrade to a more modern email service (e.g. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365)

Input Settings:

  • Email Address: Enter your full email address.

  • Password: For Zoho mailboxes, it is essential to generate and use an app-specific password instead of your regular account password.

  • Server Settings: Enter the IMAP & SMTP settings as provided by your email administrator or service provider. These settings include the IMAP and SMTP server address and port.

  • If you are unsure of the IMAP and SMTP server settings, contact your email administrator or consult the help documentation provided by GoDaddy or Zoho.

You may receive a "Temporary Mail Server Error"

Possible Causes

  • Connection blocked due to excessive usage

  • Login failed due to an unknown mail server error

  • Account is turned off

  • Network connection issues

  • Too many simultaneous connections

  • Temporary authentication failure
